Interactive Map of Kastoria

As part of reorganization of Byzantine Museum of Kastoria, is created an interactive multimedia application accessible both from the museum’s website and within the exhibition halls. It’s an interactive map that presents important monuments of Byzantine and post-Byzantine Kastoria, providing a user-friendly interface and outlining the social, economic, religious and artistic context, with both scientific and educational approach. The map shows the monuments and the churches of Kastoria, which are decorated with murals of high artistic level. Also presenting the evolution of religious painting through the works of Cretan School, School of Northwestern Greece, painter Onoufrios and Workshop of Kastoria. Finally, this interactive map is a potential archaeological walk around the city.
